Derizabeth and Juan

There are a lot of things I love about weddings: seeing the personality of the bride and groom; seeing the reflection of culture; seeing the way they treat their family and friends… it can be so beautiful, warm and full of life.  It was such a pleasure to view through a lens the warm and loving relationships and to experience a Colombian/Mexican wedding.Read more

Dagny and Iván

How to take pictures of your best friend and her fiancée?  Just let their personalities shine through and have an interesting background (Wychwood Barns).  This is followed by a surprised remark from said bestie that she gets now why I took so many photos and why people even take photos of themselves.Read more

Becky and Paul

There was lots of love and laughter at Becky and Paul’s wedding.  Becky is a perfect model in that she was enthusiastic to try all sorts of things and made everything fun.  Paul is a kinder version of James Bond who compliments Becky perfectly.  At least that’s how I read the situation.  We tried all sorts of serious and not-so-serious poses.  Mostly not so serious.Read more

Christa and Kurt

Nathan and Sara Engagements

My brother Nathan is such a sweetheart.  He is the kind of person who just shows up when he knows that you’re working on something because he wants to help or because he is genuinely interested in learning how to renovate.  And since we renovated our home for over five years, Nathan was around a lot.  So was his fiance Sara.  I figured that there was no way that I could ever pay him back for all of his helpRead more

Anita and Guillaume

I enjoy getting to know the families of the bride and groom as I photograph throughout the day.  This day was no exception.  Even though I don’t speak French (except to mispronounce words in books as I read with my kindergarten age son in French Immersion) I got to see the great humour and personality of Guillaume’s family.  I already knew Anita’s family and felt so happy to take their photos and spend the special day with them.  Read more
