Family photos are hard.  Family photos on a hot July day with 7 children is very hard. My cousin tried to warn me about how hard is to get all four of her kids to smile.  I have so many hilarious out takes of family photos where my kids either look zoned out (Holden) or have a sour lemon face (Lauren). I think that she and her husband felt a lot better about their struggles getting a family photo when she saw how we much trouble we had getting our own children to be mildly pleasant for a group photo. Maybe I should have written this commentary at the end because the photos are beautiful, peaceful, happy and romantic.  Maybe you would never know how difficult some parts of it were.
